For purposes of applicable data protection laws, the entity identified in this Section acts as the controller or business responsible for personal data processed by Portvill, except where another party independently determines the purposes and means of processing.
2.1. This Policy applies to personal data processed through Portvill websites, mobile applications, User accounts, company and agency accounts, inquiry and booking-request functionality, Account Balance functionality, advertising Services, customer support, and related communications.
2.2. This Policy does not govern independent websites, property owners, agencies, hotels, payment processors, social networks, or other third parties that operate under their own privacy policies.
2.3. Portvill may publish additional privacy notices for particular Services or jurisdictions where appropriate. Such notices supplement this Policy.
Portvill processes personal data according to principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, data minimization, accuracy, storage limitation, confidentiality, integrity, and accountability to the extent required by applicable law.
Portvill processes personal data using automated and non-automated means.
4.1. Account Information. When you register or maintain an account, we may collect your first name, last name, email address, telephone number, account settings, authentication information, language preferences, and other information you voluntarily provide.
4.2. Company and Professional Verification Information. If you register a company, agency, developer, property-management business, hotel, or other professional account, we may collect company name, registration information, agency or professional licenses, business contact details, website information, and documentation reasonably necessary to verify the business.
4.3. Public Verification Sources. We may verify company information against legitimate public sources, including an official company website. For example, we may compare a telephone number submitted during company registration with a telephone number displayed on the company's official website.
4.4. Identity Documents. Portvill does not ordinarily request or store copies of passports or national identity cards as part of standard User registration. Where a property owner, hotel, payment processor, financial institution, or other independent regulated provider requires identity documentation, such provider may request the information directly under its own privacy policy and legal obligations.
4.5. Listing and Property Information. We may process property descriptions, prices, addresses, location information, coordinates, photographs, videos, characteristics, availability information, ownership or representation information, contact details, website links, messenger information, and other data submitted for publication or moderation.
4.6. User Content. We may process reviews, ratings, photographs, logos, descriptions, comments, support requests, and other content submitted by Users.
4.7. Messages and Inquiries. When Users exchange inquiries or messages through the Platform, we may store the sender, recipient, content, timestamps, listing reference, delivery information, and related metadata necessary to provide and secure the messaging functionality.
4.8. Booking Requests. Where a User submits a booking or availability request, we may process the User's name, telephone number, email address, requested dates, selected property, message, and other information reasonably necessary to forward the request to the applicable property owner, hotel, Host, property manager, agency, or other provider.
4.9. Account Balance and Transaction Records. Portvill may store the amount, currency, date and time of a Portvill Account Balance top-up, the registered email associated with the transaction, transaction status, and records of credits and deductions to and from the User's Portvill Account Balance.
4.10. Payment-Card Data. Portvill does not store Users' full payment-card numbers or CVV/CVC card security codes on Portvill servers. Such information is processed by the applicable third-party payment provider.
4.11. Cryptocurrency Data. Where cryptocurrency payments are available, Portvill may process information necessary to recognize and reconcile the payment, such as payment amount, currency or token, network, transaction identifier, status, and confirmation status. Portvill never needs a User's cryptocurrency seed phrase or private key to receive a payment, and Users must never provide such credentials to Portvill.
4.12. Technical and Device Data. We may automatically collect IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language, referring page, pages visited, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP address, cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers where permitted, security logs, and information about interactions with the Platform.
4.13. Customer Support Data. If you contact Portvill, we may process your contact information, messages, transaction references, attachments, support history, and other information necessary to respond to the request.
4.14. Marketing and Communication Data. We may process communication preferences, consent status, marketing interactions, email engagement data, push notification settings, and opt-out information.
4.15. Portvill does not record telephone calls as part of its ordinary Platform operations.
Portvill may process personal data for the following purposes:
6.1. Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, KVKK, or another law requiring a legal basis applies, Portvill processes personal data only where an appropriate legal basis exists.
6.2. Contract. Processing may be necessary to create and operate an account, provide requested Platform Services, publish listings, process Account Balance transactions, provide paid Services, forward booking requests, or otherwise perform an agreement with the User.
6.3. Legitimate Interests. Where permitted, Portvill may process data for legitimate interests including Platform security, fraud prevention, moderation, business verification, service improvement, analytics, dispute handling, protection of legal rights, and reasonable direct marketing, provided such interests are not overridden by applicable rights and freedoms.
6.4. Consent. Portvill may rely on consent for optional advertising cookies, certain analytics technologies, marketing communications, or other processing where consent is required by law. Consent may be withdrawn at any time, without affecting processing lawfully conducted before withdrawal.
6.5. Legal Obligation. Portvill may process personal data where necessary to comply with applicable law, tax or accounting requirements, lawful government requests, court orders, sanctions rules, or other legal obligations.
6.6. Protection of Rights and Safety. Where permitted by law, information may be processed where necessary to prevent fraud, protect Users, investigate unlawful activity, or protect legal rights and security.
7.1. Portvill acts as an intermediary when a User requests contact, booking availability, or other information concerning a property owned or managed by a third party.
7.2. To forward such a request, Portvill may provide the relevant property owner, Host, hotel, agency, property manager, or other provider with information reasonably necessary to respond, such as the User's name, telephone number, email address, requested dates, selected property, and message.
7.3. After such information is transferred, the relevant third party may process it as an independent controller under its own legal obligations and privacy practices.
7.4. Portvill does not control independent processing carried out by property owners or other third parties after they receive information lawfully supplied to them through a User's request.
8.1. Users may use supported payment methods to add funds to their Portvill Account Balance for the purchase of Portvill's own digital Services.
8.2. Portvill does not use this payment functionality to collect money for purchases of real estate, rent, accommodation, deposits, escrow, mortgages, investments, real estate commissions, or payments owed to third-party property sellers or Hosts.
8.3. Depending on availability and jurisdiction, payment processing or payment technology providers may include Stripe, PayPal, cryptocurrency payment providers, banks, card networks, and other providers.
8.4. These providers may independently collect payment-card information, billing information, IP address, transaction identifiers, fraud-prevention information, wallet or blockchain transaction data, and other information according to their own privacy policies and legal requirements.
8.5. Portvill does not store Users' full payment-card numbers or CVV/CVC codes.
8.6. Portvill stores only the payment and accounting information reasonably necessary to maintain the User's Portvill Account Balance and transaction records, including amounts, date and time, registered email association, and Account Balance credits and deductions.
8.7. Payment providers may send Users transaction confirmations or receipts directly, including receipts issued through Stripe where applicable.
Portvill may disclose or make personal data available to service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the Platform, including:
Service providers are permitted to process personal data only for applicable authorized purposes and subject to contractual, legal, confidentiality, or security requirements appropriate to their role.
10.1. Portvill uses cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, and similar technologies for essential Platform functionality, security, analytics, measurement, personalization, and advertising.
10.2. Technologies currently used or capable of being deployed through the Platform include Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager (GTM), Yandex.Metrica, Meta/Facebook Pixel, Google reCAPTCHA, and related technologies.
10.3. These services may process information such as IP address, cookie identifiers, browser and device characteristics, visited pages, referring pages, approximate location, interactions, conversions, and advertising-related information.
10.4. Google Tag Manager may be used to manage and deploy website tags. The specific information processed depends on the services configured through those tags.
10.5. Google reCAPTCHA may process technical and behavioral information to distinguish legitimate Users from automated abuse. Google's applicable privacy policy and terms govern Google's independent processing.
10.6. Portvill provides a Cookie Banner or similar consent mechanism through which Users may accept or decline non-essential cookies where required by applicable law.
10.7. Users may also control certain cookies through browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Platform from functioning correctly.
11.1. Where permitted by law and subject to applicable consent or opt-out requirements, Portvill may use information about Platform interactions to measure advertising effectiveness and deliver or improve targeted or interest-based advertising through providers such as Google and Meta.
11.2. Portvill does not sell personal data to third parties for monetary consideration.
11.3. Under certain privacy laws, disclosure of online identifiers or activity information to advertising technology providers for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising may nevertheless be legally characterized as "sharing", "targeted advertising", or a similar regulated activity even where no money is paid for the personal data.
11.4. Where applicable law provides a right to opt out of such processing, Users may exercise that right through available Cookie or privacy preference controls or by contacting [email protected].
12.1. Where permitted by law, Portvill may send newsletters, promotional offers, Platform updates, advertising information, and similar communications by email, SMS, push notification, or supported messaging channels such as WhatsApp or Telegram.
12.2. Where consent is required by law, promotional communications will be sent on the basis of the User's consent.
12.3. Users may unsubscribe from promotional email using the unsubscribe link contained in the message and may manage available marketing preferences through their Portvill account.
12.4. Users may also contact [email protected] to request that marketing communications stop.
12.5. Opting out of marketing does not prevent Portvill from sending necessary transactional or service communications concerning account security, payments, Account Balance, moderation, listings, support requests, legal notices, or other essential Platform functionality.
13.1. Portvill operates a global Platform. Personal data may therefore be transferred to, accessed from, stored in, or processed in countries other than the User's country of residence.
13.2. Where GDPR, UK GDPR, KVKK, or other applicable law restricts international transfers, Portvill uses a legally recognized transfer mechanism or other appropriate safeguard where required, which may include adequacy decisions, contractual protections, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another legally permitted mechanism.
13.3. The location of technical infrastructure or individual service providers may change as Portvill's infrastructure develops. Portvill does not rely on a single permanent server jurisdiction as a promise under this Policy.
14.1. Portvill retains personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for applicable legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, and enforcement requirements.
14.2. Account information may generally be retained while the User's account remains active.
14.3. Transaction, Account Balance, refund, tax, accounting, and payment-related records may be retained for the period required by applicable accounting, tax, anti-fraud, payment, or other legal obligations even after account deletion.
14.4. Security logs may be retained for a limited period reasonably necessary to detect and investigate abuse, fraud, attacks, unauthorized access, and other security incidents.
14.5. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups, cached systems, fraud-prevention records, or legally required archives until it is overwritten or reaches the end of the applicable retention period.
14.6. Portvill may retain information necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims for the applicable limitation period.
14.7. Where data is no longer required and no legal ground exists for continued retention, Portvill will delete, anonymize, or otherwise securely dispose of the data as appropriate.
15.1. Users may delete their Portvill account through the functionality available in their personal account without being required to contact customer support, where that functionality is available.
15.2. Account deletion initiates deletion or de-identification of personal data that Portvill no longer has a lawful reason to retain.
15.3. Certain information may continue to be retained after account deletion where necessary for legal obligations, accounting, tax records, payment disputes, fraud prevention, security, enforcement of agreements, legal claims, or other legally permitted purposes.
16.1. Portvill uses reasonable administrative, organizational, technical, and security measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, destruction, or misuse.
16.2. Such measures may include access controls, authentication, HTTPS encryption in transit, security monitoring, infrastructure protection, backups, network security, fraud detection, and restricted access to personal information.
16.3. Portvill identifies relevant security risks and periodically reviews security measures as reasonably appropriate for the nature of the Platform.
16.4. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and for promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.
17.1. Depending on where you reside and the applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal data.
These rights may include:
17.2. These rights are subject to limitations and exceptions under applicable law. For example, Portvill may be required to retain certain transaction records despite a deletion request.
17.3. Users may generally update ordinary account information directly through the Portvill account interface.
18.1. Where the EU GDPR or UK GDPR applies, Users may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, and complaint to a competent supervisory authority.
18.2. Where Portvill relies on legitimate interests, a User may have the right to object to the relevant processing based on circumstances applicable to that User.
18.3. Where personal data is processed for direct marketing, Users may object to such processing at any time as required by applicable law.
19.1. Where Turkiye's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) applies, data subjects may exercise applicable rights granted under KVKK, including rights concerning whether personal data is processed, the purposes of processing, recipients, correction, deletion or destruction where legal conditions are satisfied, and other rights established by applicable law.
19.2. Cross-border transfers involving personal data subject to KVKK will be handled using an applicable lawful transfer mechanism where required.
20.1. To the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA") or another applicable U.S. state privacy law applies to Portvill and a particular User, the User may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain information regarding categories of personal information collected and disclosed, and may have rights concerning sale, sharing, profiling, or targeted advertising.
20.2. Categories of personal information Portvill may collect include identifiers, customer records, commercial and transaction information, internet or electronic network activity, approximate geolocation information, professional or employment-related business information submitted by professional Users, User-generated content, and inferences or advertising information generated from Platform activity where applicable.
20.3. Portvill collects such information primarily from Users, User devices and browsers, Platform activity, payment providers, public business sources used for verification, and service providers.
20.4. Portvill uses this information for the business and commercial purposes described in this Policy, including providing Services, security, moderation, fraud prevention, payments, customer support, analytics, advertising, and legal compliance.
20.5. Portvill does not sell personal information for money.
20.6. As explained in Section 11, certain advertising-related disclosures may constitute "sharing" or targeted advertising under some U.S. state privacy laws. Where the applicable law grants an opt-out right, Portvill provides an applicable method to exercise that right through available privacy or cookie controls or through a privacy request.
20.7. Portvill will not discriminate against Users for exercising rights provided by applicable privacy law.
Portvill may use automated tools to detect spam, suspicious activity, technical abuse, fraud, or other risks. Where applicable law grants specific rights concerning solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects, Portvill will provide those rights as required. Ordinary moderation assistance, analytics, fraud scoring, and advertising personalization do not necessarily constitute such legally significant automated decision-making.
22.1. Portvill is intended for Users aged 18 or older.
22.2. Portvill does not knowingly provide accounts to or intentionally collect personal data from children under 18 through ordinary Platform registration.
22.3. If Portvill becomes aware that information has been submitted by a person who is not legally permitted to use the Platform, Portvill may delete or restrict the relevant information or account as appropriate.
Portvill may preserve or disclose personal data where reasonably necessary and legally permitted to comply with a subpoena, court order, law-enforcement request, tax requirement, regulatory obligation, sanctions obligation, payment-provider requirement, or other binding legal process; investigate fraud or unlawful activity; protect Users; enforce agreements; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
If Portvill undergoes a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, financing, sale of assets, change of control, or similar business transaction, personal data may be transferred to relevant parties subject to appropriate confidentiality, legal, and privacy protections. Where required by law, Users will receive appropriate notice.
25.1. Portvill may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, Platform functionality, payment methods, service providers, data practices, or business operations.
25.2. The current version will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
25.3. Where required by applicable law, Portvill will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change becomes effective.
